Tanzanite Beads

Tanzanite beads are an extraordinary, transparent purplish blue gemstone of the Zoisite species. It occurs in only one place worldwide in the Merelani Hills, Tanzania beneath Mt Kilimanjaro. Thanks to the Tiffany`s Jewelers in New York (circa 1970), it has rapidly become one of the most coveted gemstones in the world. The name Tanzanite was coined by Tiffany`s based upon the location of origin. Tanzanite was mined in A through D blocks which were owned by different shareholders but currently, only two of the blocks hold Tanzanite. One block shareholder, Tanzanite One Foundation, is making an impressive advertising push for Tanzanite and owns most of the Tanzanite coming out of the ground currently. Choose Tanzanite`s color based upon the greater blue content with a slight hint of purple and choose the largest size available. Clean your Tanzanite in warm water with a mild soap and a soft cloth then lay flat to dry. Tanzanite is a wonderful stone due to its rarity, its brilliant beauty, its rich color, its deminishing quantity and its high value.
