Cat`s Eye Quartz Beads

Quartz beads that have the phenomenon of Chatoyancy is caused by minute fiber-like needles aligning along a plane within the crystal structure of the stone which causes light to reflect in a linear pattern. The effect is quite beautiful and rare in gemology as only a few gem species can have this Cat`s Eye effect. Familiar Cat`s Eye Quartz varieties are Tiger`s Eye (Gold-Yellow color) , Hawk`s Eye (blue-grey color)and Quartz Cat`s Eye (colorless).
