Amazonite Beads

Amazonite is an opaque microcline feldspar gemstone displaying green, blue to greenish blue hues with a faint sheen and grid like white streaks. Amazonite beads are mined in Brazil, Norway, Madagascar, Russia and Pikes Peak, Colorado. . Our gemstones have a light caribbean ocean blue with white streaks. Amazonite derived its name from the Amazon Rainforest when gemologists confused the stone with another gem common to the Amazon region.
