Ruby in Zoisite Beads

Ruby in Zoisite beads or Anyolite beads are the green zoisite rock with black hornblende and opaque ruby inclusions. The name is derived from the Massai tribe of Tanzania meaning `green`. The gem was first discovered in 1954 and due to its color contrasts quicky became a favorite stone for ornamental carvers and gem lovers alike. The stone is a member of the Zoisite species and is mined in the East African state of Tanzania only. As a one source stone, the gem is considered a rare collector stone.
