Natural Blue Chalcedony Beads

Chalcedony gemstones are a cryptocrystaline form within the Quartz Family. These gems rarely form with a blue hue, but when they do a lovely blue to a violetish blue hue is the result. These gems show a translucent to opaque quality exhibiting a waxy to glass-like luster. Named for the ancient maritime city of Chalcedon (now Kadikoy), on the Sea of Marmara in modern Turkey. This gemstone is presently mined in Turkey, Brazil, India, Madagascar, Namibia, Zimbobway, Sri Lanka (Ceylon), Uruguay and California. These Blue Chalcedony beads are natural with a stable saturation of color. One of our favorite Chalcedony gems for its gorgeous blue to violetish blue hues and it glowing translucency!
