Multicolor Beryl Beads

Multi-color Beryl Beads are strands that have a combination of the Beryl species Helidore, Aquamarine, Goshenite, and Morganite. Heliodore beads are the golden yellow transparent variety of Beryl which is colored by the element iron that sometimes gives a hint of green. Heliodore may flouresce blue under ultraviolet light. The stone derived its name from the color of the sun (helio) which resembles the color of the yellow gold of Heliodore. Beryls are known to form in granites and granitic pegmatites. Heliodore is mined in Columbia, Brazil, Ural Mountains of Russia, North Carolina, and California. Goshenite is the colorless variety of Beryl which derives its name from the mineralogist who discovered the stone in Brazil.
