Jade Beads

Jade beads have two varieties which are Jadeite and Nephrite. The destinguishing characteristics of Jadeite are its tight growth pattern, its rare imperial jade color, opaque or translucent quality, mostly green color and its mined locations of Myanmar, Cina, Japan, and California. Nephrite is a felt-like fibrous aggregate variety which is tougher than Jadeite, occurs in all colors, is more common than Jadeite, and occurs in serpentine rocks in China, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Alaska, Poland, Taiwan and Russia.
